Answer the following questions:

1. Why was the hunter able to catch the tortoise easily?
Ans: Because the tortoise was very slow and could not hide quickly like the others.

2. How did the deer fool the hunter?
Ans: The deer lay down on the road pretending to be dead. When the hunter came near, thinking the deer was dead, the other animals were able to carry out their plan to save the tortoise.

3. Give any two reasons why you would say that the crow, the deer, the mouse and the tortoise were "good" friends.
Ans: (i) They helped each other in times of trouble.
(ii) They worked together to save their friend, the tortoise.

4. Why is it important to have a good friend or many good friends?
Ans: It is important to have good friends because they love and help us. They make us feel happy and support us in difficult times.

5. Give three examples of good things that we can learn from our friends.
Ans: (i) Helping and caring for others.
(ii) Sharing our things.
(iii) Being honest and forgiving.
