Preparation Strategy for Assam Board Students 2026

With the routine now in your hands, the countdown has officially begun. Here are specialized tips for both HSLC and HS students.

For HSLC (Class 10) Students:

  • Focus on Maths & Science: These subjects have gaps (Feb 17 for Maths, Feb 20 for Science). Use these gaps for revision, but ensure your syllabus is 100% complete by January 15th.
  • Social Science Strategy: You have a gap of 3 days before Social Science (Feb 24). Use this to revise History dates and Geography maps.
  • Solve Test Papers: Purchase a good "Test Paper" book (like ABTA or SEBA) and solve at least one full paper daily from January.

For HS (Class 12) Students:

  • Science Stream: Physics (Mar 5) and Chemistry (Mar 9) have decent gaps. Focus on deriving formulas and practicing numericals. Don't neglect English (Feb 11), as it's the first paper and sets the mood.
  • Arts Stream: Subjects like Political Science (Mar 9) and Education (Mar 5) require long answers. Practice writing 5-6 mark answers within a time limit.
  • Practical Marks: Your practicals in Jan-Feb are crucial. Ensure your laboratory notebook is complete and signed. These marks are "easy" if you are disciplined.
